These packages are applicable *only* to the latest releae of the Slackware ARM 'current' (development) tree. They may, but aren't built to run on any stable release. For the Mozilla Thunderbird, Firefox and Seamonkey packages, the reason that these are in this 'unsupported' directory is because the Slackware ARM build systems are armv5 machines upon which the Mozilla packages (versions 18.0 onwards) cannot be compiled. This therefore makes them unmaintainable, and as such have been removed from the Slackware ARM tree. However, since the Slackware ARM 'current' build machines are ARMv7, these packages can be built and are provided as a helpful best effort basis. It's unlikely that the packages will run on any prior stable release of Slackware ARM. Compatability ============= These packages are aimed at users who follow the -current branch closely and install all updates. You may find that the packages here do not work otherwise. Security ======== The aim is to maintain the most recent 'secure' versions of the packages provided within (assuming that they can be compiled!) but given that this is an unsupported tree, the updates may not be timely - may often lag days or weeks behind x86-current. -- Stuart Winter 13-Jan-2013
